How It All Began
It Started With a Black Cocker Spaniel Named Queen
The very first dog I ever had was a black Cocker Spaniel named Queen — and she lit my heart up completely. From that moment, I knew I never wanted to live without Cocker Spaniels. I fell in love with the breed and made it my mission to learn everything I possibly could about them.
We were out in the country, and I also wanted a large breed — something protective, something loyal, something that wouldn't have the prey drive to harm our other livestock. Then the movie A Dog of Flanders touched my heart, and I knew the Bouvier des Flandres was the one. I built a wonderful relationship with a breeder in Pennsylvania and never looked back.
My heart kept growing. The Chinese Shar-Pei's deep, happy wrinkles tugged at me and I simply had to have one. I've been devoted to the Shar-Pei ever since 2002. Then came the Cockapoo, the Maltese and Maltipoo — and eventually the Micro Mini Goldendoodle, which opened a whole new door for apartment families and anyone needing a small, hypoallergenic companion.
Every breed I've added has been a deliberate, heartfelt decision. My goal has always been the same: to be a big-heart variety for as many families as possible — country families, city families, and everyone in between.
